Patterns of Evidence: Young Explorers
A group of ten young people meet filmmaker Timothy Mahoney on a wilderness camping trip and learn about his investigation for physical evidence of Moses and the Israelites’ Exodus out of Egypt. By the end of the weekend they all want to join Tim on a quest to explore the Bible. Before each new adventure they are given special invitations to read their Bibles and look for clues in the text. This prepares them for face-to-face encounters with ancient evidence and real archaeologists. But there is more to the investigation than Tim lets on. He has a secret device, the Exploration Chamber, a digital hologram space that allows them to enter into a virtual reality experience, exploring important places and events mentioned in the Bible. What they ultimately find is a pattern of evidence that matches six major events of the Exodus account. It’s a faith-affirming journey establishing the historical credibility of the Bible that could change their lives forever.
In today’s culture there is strong opposition to the validity of the Bible. These attacks are often aimed at young people in the areas of science and history. Even in some Christian circles there is a trend to downplay the Bible as an accurate historical account from creation onward. However, the Christian faith is uniquely built on God acting through history, and all the Bible’s teachings flow from that reality. That is why Patterns of Evidence: Young Explorers is so important today. It demonstrates compelling evidence that affirms the trustworthiness of the Bible.
Patterns of Evidence: Young Explorers is based on the award-winning documentary, Patterns of Evidence: The Exodus. Most modern scholars say there is no evidence for the early stories in the Bible. By taking a new approach, Mahoney learns that there is an amazing pattern of evidence matching the Exodus story, much earlier than expected. Winner of 13 awards, the original film, Patterns of Evidence: The Exodus, has been endorsed by many Christian leaders and scholars including Anne Graham Lotz, Dr. Norman Geisler and Dr Walt Kaiser.
“I’ve seen the film and I was very impressed with it. I was not only impressed with it, I was overjoyed by it, because it’s the best presentation of the material I’ve ever seen.”
Dr. Norman Geisler“This film is marvelous. It gets the right things right. And therefore it is a hallmark… there is nothing else like it!”
Dr. Walt Kaiser“The thing I love about this film is that Tim Mahoney has taken history and archaeology and he’s looked at it through the lens of Scripture, instead of looking at the Bible through the lens of history and archaeology.”
